End of Science?


The End of Science

Interesting article suggesting that science may be reaching it's end having solved all the sovable questions.
It looks abit like the chap seems to think that Physics is true science, as he spends alot of time focusing on that.

It's a bit of a silly claim in my opinion...

It's asking the question is 'how many more scientific discoveries could there possibly be'?
Which is really the same as asking:
What don't we know?

Which can't really be answered, because we can't know what we don't know.


Regarding a possible decrease in funding for future research, if scientific discoveries were to become somewhat less common, there still would be heaps of interest in investing in engineering, which would fuel continued research into whatever is left. So science wouldn't die, it'd just become better friends with engineering.
